2007 CITY OF VISTA JURIED PHOTO EXHIBITION
 

The City of Vista’s Public Arts Commission will begin accepting entries on September 1, 2007, for its 1st Annual Juried Photo Exhibition. The juried contest is open to all photographers (youth and adult categories) and will feature photos taken in Vista within the last year (November 2006 – November 2007).

Preferred subjects include people enjoying Vista’s parks, places, and programs. Awards will be presented by the City Council. Winning entries will be published in the North County Times, and will be displayed at Vista Village Art Gallery in December. For more information go to: www.vistaartfoundation.org

 

Artists Reception Friday, November 9,  5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Vista Village Art Gallery, located at 127 Main Street, for all the artists displaying this month including the children displaying in the Young Artists Gallery and honoring  the featured Artist of the Month. Open to the public. Come meet the artists, enjoy the art, eat some delicious food...

  • Art at the Creek Walk - Second Sunday of the month, May through October. The Creek Walk is south of the Krikorian Theatres and east of the Wave Water Park, at 161 Recreation Drive.
  • Rancho Buena Vista Adobe Art Gallery - 640 Alta Vista Dr. Exhibits feature local and regional artists, including paintings and crafts. Hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. (760) 639-6164.
  • Public Arts Commission - City of Vista Commission meets monthly on the first Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the City of Vista
